The Travers today was some race. Colonel John showed how tough he is. Beating a field of 11 others, Colonel John won over Mambo in Seattle by a nose in an exciting stretch duel. I think Colonel John is going to be a very good horse if he keeps racing at 4 years old.
Visionaire won the King's Bishop. This race was a battle for the lead. J Be K just could not get ahead here and keep the lead with the fast pace. He tired coming in 6th. Kodiak Kowboy came in 5th. Visionaire looks like he can sprint also now. He is a good horse and will have to be looked at in future sprint races. I think the pace though helped him a little here since he comes from far back. The race set up for him.
