Cashcall Futurity

Hollywood Park (race 8)
Twelve 2 year olds will face each other this Saturday in the Cashcall Futurity at Hollywood Park at 1 1/16 miles. None of them have won a G1 race yet. Some horses to consider:

Azul Leon: Azul Leon is by Lion Heart. He has done his best though in sprint races so far. This would be his first win at a route distance.

Pioneerof the Nile: By Empire Maker. Empire Maker was one of my favorite horses. He came in 2nd in the Kentucky Derby in 2003. Pioneerof the Nile has done well in his races. He was caught wide in one race and got into traffic in his last. He has been training well since his last race with some fast workouts.

Bittle Road: His races have been on the turf. He closes fast and is a threat. With some speed upfront in this race it should help him.

Mr Rod: Last two wins are on the turf. A front runner probably will not win this race though.

Pioneerof the Nile seems the top horse for this race. He has to avoid traffic trouble. It also would help him if he is behind a fast pace since he is a closer.
