It looks like Naughty New Yorker will need a first or second place finish tomorrow in the Evan Shipman Stakes at Belmont to become a millionaire. This field looks fairly week, but you have a few 4 year olds in here who are always a threat against the older horses. It will be a fun race. Hopefully tomorrow is the day.
UPDATE: He is scratched so it will have to be another day. It looks like racing was canceled today anyway.

Curlin makes turf debut
Be sure to see Curlin tomorrow in his first turf race. He will be racing at Belmont in the Man o' War Stakes. Usually a horse does not do equally well on both turf and dirt. It will be interesting to see if he can handle the turf. The field is very small with only six others in here. If he runs like he does on dirt he will be impossible to beat.

Sprinters I like
Some sprinters that I like to follow are J Be K, Benny the Bull, and Fabulous Strike. Benny the Bull has a big late run. J Be K likes to run on the lead the entire race. Fabulous Strike is not around as much but is another really good front running sprinter. If you have not seen them race before, check them the next time they are entered.

Colonel John is coming back
It looks like Colonel John will be racing this Saturday at Hollywood Park. Colonel John was my pick for the Kentucky Derby. He came in 6th in that race. He had a bad start and traffic trouble. This happens a lot in the Derby with 19 other horses in the race. It will be interesting to see how he does this weekend in his first race back. I think he has a lot of potential.
